Napoli have reached an agreement to sign Colombian forward Duvan Zapata from Estudiantes, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Argentine club have reportedly accepted a €6 million offer from Italy, with the player set to arrive in Naples for a medical in the coming days.
Newly promoted Sassuolo had a pre-contract agreement with the player, but with it no longer being valid, the forward has been cleared to sign for Napoli.
Duvan Zapata arrive at Stadio San Paolo to increase competition for places in attack following the departure of Edinson Cavani.
The 22-year-old, who began his career at America de Cali, enjoyed a breakthrough season with Estudiantes last term, scoring 13 goals in 31 league appearances.
Having already scored three goals in as many matches during the current season, Zapata clearly arrives at Napoli in top form and he is expected to start challenging from starting places in the coming weeks.
