Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Serie A giants Napoli are weighing up summer bid for Barcelona winger Denis Suarez.
The Azzurri hope star forward Dries Mertens will agree to sign a new deal at Stadio San Paolo, but they are aware that the Belgian could decide to leave at the end of the season.
If that happens, Napoli will recruit a new winger, and Barcelona’s Denis Suarez has emerged as their primary target.
The talented footballer returned to Camp Nou last summer as the Catalans exercised a buy-back clause, but he only started 12 league fixtures and the club officials are reportedly not too happy with his performances.
Napoli hope they would consider selling the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window as they are convinced that Suarez has what it takes to play at the highest level.
Following the derby win over Inter Milan, the Azzurri are priced at 1/9 to see off Cagliari next weekend.
