Serie A heavyweights Napoli have approached Empoli over a possible January move for Bosnia midfielder Rade Krunic.
Partenopei are looking to bolster their squad during the January transfer market and appear to have set their sights on two Empoli players – Rade Krunic and Hamed Traore.
Rumours regarding the Empoli duo have been confirmed by the club president Fabrizio Corsi in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Napoli are interested in Krunic and we have talked about him and Hamed Traore. Napoli director of sports Cristiano Giuntoli likes Krunic and we have talked about him, exchanging opinions”, Corsi said.
The 25-year-old midfielder Rade Krunic joined Empoli in 2015 from the Serbian outfit Borac Cacak and has gone to establish himself as one of the most valuable members of the first team. He played a key role in Empoli’s promotion to Serie A in 2017, scoring 5 goals and registering 10 assists.
He was linked with a move to Atalanta in January but Empoli refused to budge on their €8 million valuation which was too much for La Dea at the moment.
