Napoli want Trippier?

“All I can say is that they’re both [Trippier and Lozano] players we’re evaluating.

“So, to be honest, I can only confirm our appreciation of the player. Now we have to start proceeding with the analysis.”

Those are the words of Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has confirmed the club’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier. The Englishman is known for being a pretty controversial figure in North London, and the reason for that is simple: the belief in his abilities. Some fans seem to believe that he is one of the best defenders in English football today, whereas others believe that he is continuing to live off of the momentum created by England’s run to the semi finals during last year’s World Cup. Trippier, as many fans will remember, was the man who scored England’s opener during their semi final defeat to Croatia.

This season, though, it’s certainly fair to say that he has struggled.
