The summer transfer window may be over, but Napoli officials are already thinking about January reinforcements, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri cashed in on Gonzalo Higuain, David Lopez and Mirko Valdifiori, while signing Emanuele Giaccherini, Arkadiusz Milik, Piotr Zielinski, Amadou Diawara, Marko Rog and Nikola Maksimovic this summer.
Nevertheless, Napoli officials plan to further reinforce their ranks in January, with Ajax star Davy Klaassen their number one target.
The Netherlands international rejected a move to Stadio San Paolo this summer, but the Azzurri hope he will change his mind with a little help from former teammate Arkadiusz Milik.
At the same time, Napoli are looking at Vitesse forward Milot Rashica and Atalanta midfielder Franck Yannick Kessie, who scored three goals in his first two appearances for the club.
The 19-year-old returned from a successful loan spell at Crotone and slotted straight into the starting line-up at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
