(GSM) – Lanus still have a chance to survive the group phase of the Copa Libertadores following a 1-0 win over Blooming on Wednesday.

The Argentinians lost their first two games in Group 4 but collected their first points beating Blooming 1-4 last month. In Buenos Aires, Lanus again proved to be the better side although the scoreline was less emphatic this time around.

The only goal of the match, played at Nestor Diaz Perez stadium, came in the 17th minute as Santiago Salcedo converted a penalty.

Lanus remain in third place behind Libertad of Paraguay and Universitario of Peru, who both have two points more than the Argentinians.

On March 30, Lanus get a chance to enter the top two in an away match to Libertad.
