(GSM) – Arsenal’s Samir Nasri believes Marouane Chamakh will be a perfect fit for Arsenal if the Bordeaux striker joins the London club on a free transfer this summer.
The Arsenal target Chamakh has been linked with joining the club with Arsene Wenger giving further credence to rumours of a Bosman move when saying last week the Morocco international has a “good chance” of joining the club.
Nasri, who played against Chamakh at his previous club Olympique Marseille, would welcome the addition of a player who has scored 13 goals in 34 games in Ligue 1 this season but is out of contract in the summer.
“It would be a great signing for us,” Nasri told Arsenal’s official magazine. “He is a player that I really like.
“Chamakh plays for the team, gives everything and works very hard. He has big potential and would fit perfectly in our team.”
