Nasri set to sign new Arsenal deal

Samir Nasri has agreed to sign a new long-term deal at Arsenal, according to The Sun.

The Frenchman will put pen to paper on a five-year contract that will see him earn around £5.2 million per season.

The 23-year-old had 18 months left on his £60,000 per week contract, but the club decided to reward him with a new deal for his impressive performances this season.

Nasri has become team’s main creative outlet together with Cesc Fabregas this term, while he also contributed to te scoring department with some very important goals.

After it was reported that Barcelona are interested in his signature, Arsenal chiefs reacted and persuaded him to sign a new deal at the Emirates.

This will come as great news for the Gunners before tomorrow’s Carling Cup final clash with Birmingham.
