According to Sky Sports, Samir Nasri’s potential move to West Ham United is in doubt over the Frenchman’s fitness levels. The 31 year old has not been in the Premier League for 18 months and isn’t quite at the levels required physically, after completing a medical on Monday. Pellegrini is fond of Nasri after the two spent time together at Manchester City, although Samir won’t be eligible to play professionally again until January 1st.
His wages could be up to £80,000 a week which will certainly split opinion, at least, until we get to see him on the pitch. Nasri was once viewed as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League but it’ll be a long time before he can reach that level again, especially after the damage that has been done to his reputation lately not only professionally but also personally.
Nasri’s signing, as we’ve alluded to, wouldn’t become official until the January transfer window opens.
