The agent of Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has revealed that his client wants to remain at the Etihad.
The France international was believed to be pondering a summer exit after he was publicly criticized by Roberto Mancini, but it appears that is not entirely true.
Nasri’s representative Jean-Pierre Bernes has moved to deny reports that his client wants out.
“We can not be condemned forever because you had a clash with a journalist. Anyway I am absolutely not worried. Sami’s value has not vanished, everyone knows it,” Bernes explained to L’Equipe.
“Look at Ribery, two years ago everyone wanted to throw him away. Nowadays Franck is the French team and Bayern star because he worked hard and that is the way which Samir has to follow, he knows it and he will fight.”
Samir Nasri joined Manchester City in a big money deal from Arsenal in the summer of 2011, but has utterly failed to prove his worth at the club.
He was publicly criticized by City boss Roberto Mancini for not giving his all for the club, but it looks as though he is, nonetheless, ready to fight for his place in the side.
The 25-year-old has made a total of 49 Premier League appearances for the Citizens and scored 6 goals in the process.
