Last week, it was reported that Arsenal had nearly completed a deal for French winger Samir Nasri but now there are doubts that the player will join Arsene Wenger’s squad.
“Nasri interests me,” said the Arsene Wenger according to Sky Sports.
“I hope I will do it after the Euros. It is more complicated now because the wage differences [between the Premier League and Ligue 1] are not as big as they used to be.”
The problem which arose in the transfer of Nasri seems to be related to the wages and transfer fees that Arsenal are willing to pay – or better said, unwilling to pay. Wenger will find himself in an undesirablesituation should he fail to land the French winger since reports say that Alexander Hleb could leave for Barcelona in the next few days. Nasri would have been brought in as Hleb’s replacement.
