According to AS, Keylor Navas has informed Real Madrid of the conditions under which he will accept leaving the club this summer.
Upon his return to the Santiago Bernabeu dugout, Zinedine Zidane told the Costa Rican that Thibaut Courtois would be his first choice for the spot between the posts from next season. Navas, in turn, has now informed the club that he is ready to make it easier for Zidane and leave, but only under certain conditions.
Those conditions are, apparently, for Real to pay up for the remainder of his contract (two more years), and to give up any transfer fee. The Spanish giants, however, value him reportedly at around €20 million and aren’t prepared to give that money up.
Benfica are interested in the experienced goalkeeper’s services, but Navas didn’t just set his demands for Real Madrid. From any potential suitor, the 31-year-old wants an annual salary of €7 million (€2 million more than he earns at the moment), as well as guaranteed game-time. Only Paris Saint-Germain are apparently willing to meet those demands.
