Bongani Ndulula has hailed Orlando Pirates caretaker coach Augusto Palacios for helping him get his confidence back.
Ndulula made his first start for Pirates in a league match this season against Jomo Cosmos recently, and rewarded Palacios’ faith in him by opening the scoring in a match Pirates went on to win 2-1.
“He is fair and treating every player equal at training,” Ndulula said, according to Kickoff.com.
“I am enjoying myself and starting to feel my confidence back again.
“It was a great feeling to start the game against Cosmos and liked the system of having two strikers up front.
“I know there is still lot for me to do to continue impressing the coach, and I will keep working hard to fight for my place in the starting line-up.”
The South Africa Under-23 star acknowledges that he has a lot to gain from former Blackburn and West Ham striker, and team-mate Benni McCarthy.
“He is so humble and always ready to share the experience he gained overseas. I just have to keep learning from him,” Ndulula said.
