Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen have revealed that they rejected a bid from a Premier League club for striker Bjorn Vleminckx.
The 25-year-old has recently been linked with the likes of Blackburn, Fulham and Bolton, but reports claim it was West Ham United who launched a move for the top-scorer in the Eredivisie.
“A club made an official approach and they also made an official bid,” NEC technical director Carlos Aalbers confirmed.
“It was far from our asking price, we are talking about the top-scorer in the league and look how far he has progressed.”
