Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo insists he is not considering making a return to Real Madrid.
Negredo looks set to face his former club for the first time at the Bernabeu, as he did not feature away against Real during his loan spell at Almeria.
Real Madrid have a two-year option to buy back Negredo.
“When I was on loan at Almeria they let me play at home but not in Madrid, I suppose to avoid problems,” he told AS.
“Nobody likes being on a team with no chance of playing. It would be a mistake to think otherwise. We’ll see. Although Real have control over my future. They can buy me back. They let me go under this condition.”
He added: “Madrid always impose themselves, especially at the Bernabeu. It’s time to show we are great. Although the first two have gotten away from us we will fight for third place [in the league]. We go to the Bernabeu and Barca have to come to our place. We can have a big say in this tight league.”
