Paraguayan forward Nelson Valdez has completed a transfer to Rubin Kazan, the Russian club have announced on their official website.
The former Boussia Dortmund star was heavily tipped to leave Hercules this summer after spending just one season in Alicante.
It was believed that the Paraguay international would join Getafe, but he has instead opted for Russian club Rubin Kazan.
The Russian giants were desperately short of quality in attack and they see Valdez as a perfect solution to their goalscoring troubles.
Valdez has signed a three-year deal with Rubin, but the cost of the transfer was not disclosed.
