(GSM) – Ajax joined PSV at the top of the Dutch Eredivisie following a 0-5 win at De Graafschap while PSV dropped two points at ADO Den Haag.

Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez was of great importance to Ajax on Sunday, scoring their first two goals in the 14th and 41st minutes.

Urby Emanuelson then made it 0-3 eight minutes after the hour, before late goals from Suarez and Christian Eriksen set the final score to 0-5.

PSV had several opportunities to make a difference at ADO but allowed their opponents to take a point.

Ibrahim Afellay’s eight-minute opener was canceled out by Timothy Derijck in the 56th minute and Mexican Francisco Rodriguez’ goal in the 73rd minute was not enough either as Frantisek Kubik restored the balance eight minutes later, 2-2.

Ajax and PSV now share the lead, both having earned ten points while scoring 14 goals and conceding four.

Reigning champions Twente were much too strong for Utrecht, who days earlier eliminated Celtic from the UEFA Europa League.

All goals in Enschede were scored in the second half, with Marc Janko netting the first two before Luuk de Jong added two to his personal tally as well.

Gert-Jan Verbeek’s AZ remain winless after four games, drawing 1-1 in a home match with Excelsior. Gelson Fernandez put the visitors in the lead after 36 minutes but Kolbeinn Sigthorsson levelled in the 76th.
