(GSM) – Ajax lost touch with the top of the Dutch Eredivisie after suffering a surprising 0-1 defeat by ADO Den Haag.
Third-placed Ajax were highly favoured to take three points from their home game with ADO, but it was instead the away side to do so as Wesley Verhoek scored the only goal of the match after 43 minutes.
Ajax are now four points behind leaders Twente, who beat Excelsior 2-1 on Saturday.
PSV do remain close to the top after beating Utrecht 1-2 at Galgenwaard stadium. Hungarian Balazs Dzsudzsak scored both away goals, one in the 25th and one in the 75th. The second goal came from the penalty spot.
Frank Demouge pulled one back for Utrecht in the 81st minute but PSV goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson avoided further damage.
PSV are currently one point behind Twente.
