(GSM) – There were no surprises in the Dutch Eredivisie on Wednesday, as all of the top three teams won their games.
Leaders PSV visited Vitesse at Arnhem’s Gelredome stadium and took the lead through Ibrahim Afellay in the seventh minute.
Fred Rutten’s men were then awarded a penalty shortly after the hour, and Hungarian Balazs Dzsudzsak found the target from the spot, 0-2.
Twente made no mistake at last-placed Willem II, despite conceding a 15th-minute opening goal from Rowin van Zaanen.
Luuk de Jong equalised in the 28th minute and Douglas completed the turn-around nine minutes later. De Jong then added a third away goal four minutes after the hour for a 1-3 final result.
Ajax needed just 11 minutes against Heerenveen for Mounir El Hamdaoui to open the scoring, but the Moroccan had his goal canceled out by Bas Dost in the 25th.
But El Hamdaoui restored Ajax’ lead three minutes after the hour and wing-back Vurnon Anita made it 3-1 in the 84th minute.
Feyenoord recovered from Sunday’s 10-0 defeat at PSV, beating VVV 3-0 at their own Kuip stadium in Rotterdam.
No goals were scored in the first half but the hosts improved their performance in the second, with Georginio Wijnaldum beating keeper Gentenaar for 1-0 in the 65th minute.
Andre Bahia doubled the advantage in the 83rd minute and Wijnaldum added a third in the final minute for 3-0.
