Manuel Neuer has signed a one-year contract extension with Bayern Munich.
His current deal was set to expire at the end of this season, but he will now stay with the Bavarian giants until the end of 2025-26, taking him past his 40th birthday and keeping him at Bayern for a 15th season.
Neuer joined Bayern in 2011 from Schalke and has since made 547 appearances in all competitions, the seventh-most amongst all players in the club’s history.
He has also kept a record-breaking 168 clean sheets in the Bundesliga.
The goalkeeper, who has captained Bayern since 2017, has twice won the treble of the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League (2013 and 2020).
Overall, he has won 11 Bundesliga titles, five DFB-Pokals and six DFL-Supercups, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup twice.
