Manuel Neuer has added fuel to speculations linking him with a move to Bayern Munich by saying that he wouldn’t mind staying in Bundesliga after leaving Schalke.
The Germany international has been linked with Manchester United and Bayern, but the Bavarians are now believed to be leading the race.
“I get the chance to travel abroad twice a year. During the summer holiday and again in the winter holiday. Is it crucial for a player to play abroad at one point? Some players seem to think so, but I disagree,” Neuer told Kicker.
“I can’t choose between loyalty toward Schalke and winning trophies elsewhere. One has to think about himself at one point. The most important things are being happy and successful.
“I want to win the Bundesliga title at least once in my career. I’m a German international and play in the German league. I really want to win the biggest national trophy.”
