Having grown up close to the Netherlands, Neuer said it was a special match for him personally.
“I grew up in Westfalen, which is close to the Dutch border,” Neuer told dfb.de. “I have also holidayed there and I played with a lot of Dutch players at Schalke.
“At Bayern I play with Arjen Robben, who is a great reference point.
“When I was young, I attended a match between Germany and Netherlands. The atmosphere was great. For the fans, this game is very special.
