(GSM) – Former Germany international Oliver Neuville has announced his retirement.
The 37-year-old striker, who made 69 appearances for his country, ended his almost two-decade long career which included two World Cup finals and saw him play in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2002 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Neuville spent the past six years at Borussia Monchengladbach and will remain at the Bundesliga club as a youth-team coach.
