Manchester United captain Gary Neville admits he has no respect for clubs who claim success through their riches.
Neville concedes he has more respect for United rivals Liverpool than clubs that claim success through the transfer market.
“When I was a youngster, they [Liverpool] won everything,” Neville told MUTV.
“It was horrible. Jealousy does come into it but I have more respect for their traditions than I would for some of the other clubs coming onto the scene throwing a load of money at it.”
Considering United’s rivalry with Manchester City and the latter club’s rise to fame through the wealth of their owner, it is hard to imagine that Neville is not talking about the Eastlands’ club.
