According to a recent report from The Times, Arsenal have stepped up their efforts to sign William Saliba to a new deal.
The 21-year-old has been on fire so far this season after spending three years on loan in France, with Mikel Arteta being able to slot him seamlessly into the system at the Emirates.
Arsenal already have three clean sheets to their name and while that isn’t solely down to the influence of Saliba, nobody can deny the sort of impact he’s having at the back – on a consistent basis, too.
The potential contract extension in question would keep Saliba on the books in North London until 2027, guaranteeing a bright future for him as one of the primary defenders in Arteta’s setup.
There’s still a lot of room for growth and development before he can be properly viewed as the finished product but at this moment in time, he’s making serious waves.
