According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is days away from signing a new contract extension with Barcelona.
The goalkeeper has certainly seen his fair share of ups and downs during his stint at the Nou Camp and based on this evidence, Ronald Koeman values him enough to keep him around for quite some time to come. The intention was always for him to be a long-term keeper at the club, and at the age of just 28, he has plenty years left to create a real legacy for himself in the city.
His salary will likely decrease year on year which gives you a pretty good indication as to how much he values the operation that has been put in place in recent weeks.
There’s a long road ahead for Barca if they want to become a force in Europe once again and ter Stegen will be a big piece of their puzzle.
