David Beckham became the third most capped player in England's history after appearing as a late substitute in the 3-1 win over Belarus here on Wednesday.
The LA Galaxy midfielder may only have been on the pitch for a few minutes but that was still enough to secure him a 107th cap and relegate 1966 World Cup winner Bobby Charlton to fourth place in the list.
One more appearance — possibly in a friendly in Germany next month — would see the 33-year-old Beckham equal 1966 captain Bobby Moore's tally of 108 caps, the highest total by an outfield player.
Beckham however still has some way to go to match former goalkeeper Peter Shilton's record of 125 appearances for England.
