Bayern Munich have offered their Italian striker Luca Toni a contract renewal. The forward is currently considering the extension.
The player’s contract is currently set to expire in 2011, but his performance persuaded Bayern to extend the cooperation. In an interview with Italian press agency ANSA, Toni commented on the offer:
“Bayern’s management likes my performance. They asked me to keep playing for the club after the summer of 2011.
“I will be considering my future. It was a big challenge to play abroad and immediately be important to the team. I feel good in Germany and play for one of the best teams in Europe. Besides, it means something to me that I now form part of the club’s history.”
