New Inter contract for Martinez?

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are set to negotiate a contract extension for striker Lautaro Martinez.

The negotiations will take place after the international break and will come after months upon months of speculation regarding Martinez’s future. At one stage he looked destined to make his way over to Barcelona from the San Siro, but now, that no longer appears to be the case.

Inter are starting to reaffirm their status as one of the most exciting teams in European football but after having a few stumbles here and there, it seems like they want some good news.

Martinez may not be everyone’s favourite forward but he certainly gets the job done for Inter and at the age of just 23, the Argentine has the potential to become one of the club’s greatest strikers in recent years – so long as he doesn’t have to focus on transfer speculation.
