According to a recent report from The Athletic, Harvey Barnes has been offered a new deal to stay with Leicester City.
Barnes’ deal is said to be a much improved contract that’ll reflect the value he holds in the eyes of the Foxes. The big question, of course, is whether or not it’s the kind of move that can help Leicester lock down a few other big deals and signings before the end of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is one of many top tier names currently residing within Leicester’s squad and while he may not be their main man, he’s definitely got plenty of time ahead of him to prove that he can be an integral piece of the puzzle for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
Liverpool had previously hoped that they could make a real push to try and sign Barnes before the end of the window, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s going to come to fruition.
