According to a recent report from the Sunday Mirror, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to earn a new £9 million-per-year deal at the club.
His old deal was set to enter into its final year later this month, but the belief now is that talks will begin over a new contract. The Norwegian has been on the definition of a rollercoaster ride during his tenure at Old Trafford, and up to this point, he hasn’t been able to enjoy the sort of immediate success many fans would’ve hoped for.
However, things are definitely looking up and there’s a feeling that the club is heading in the right direction under his leadership. They’re in the mix at the top of the Premier League table, they’re still in the hunt in the FA Cup and Europa League, and their squad is jam-packed full of talent ready to fire them back to the glory days.
