According to a recent report from Le Parisien, Real Madrid have put forward an offer to forward Karim Benzema that will see an extension to his current contract with the Spanish giants. The extension would be for two years and is set to keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until at least 2023. The Frenchman continues to provide the goods for Real as he has done ever since arriving at the club, with many believing that he’s one of the most underrated and undervalued members of the club’s entire squad.
Benzema hasn’t massively been linked with anyone else but some consider a return to his homeland of France to be a distinct possibility. Alas, as it turns out, Madrid are very eager to keep him on the books.
Whether or not he can maintain his current strong run of form remains to be seen, but there’s certainly a belief within the club that he will be there for a long time to come.
