New Southampton deal for Ings?

According to a recent report from The Athletic, Danny Ings is close to signing a new contract extension with Southampton.

The England international continues to reign as one of the most exciting strikers in the Premier League and as we look ahead to the future, it doesn’t seem as if that reputation is going to disappear anytime soon.

Ings may not have been able to hit this sort of form during his days at Liverpool but since moving to the South Coast he has become a new man. The Saints will do everything in their power to keep hold of their talisman, especially now that Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in bringing him over to North London.

They already have Kane, Bale and Son at their disposal but with January looming large, they’re already starting to contemplate whether or not they need another helping hand as the fight for the top four continues.
