According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, West Ham United are interested in locking Manuel Lanzini down to a long term contract. There are just 12 months remaining on his current deal, and he has yet to sign an extension with the club. There is an option to extend his deal by another two years, but the Hammers want to make sure he has a contract beyond 2022.
West Ham haven’t exactly been able to get off to the best of starts in the Premier League so far this season, but it isn’t through lack of trying or ability. The likes of Lanzini could end up firing West Ham towards the top half of the table and beyond, but they need to make sure that they can trust in him to stick around this season.
One way or another, though, the future is going to be interesting for the Argentine.
