New Wolfsburg coach Armin Veh paid tribute Monday to the work achieved by Felix Magath, the man he replaced, in guiding the club to their first ever German title.
Veh, who was revealed as the Bundesliga champions’ new manager at the weekend, said: “To take control of a team which are German titleholders is for sure a difficult but thrilling mission.
“This team and club have enormous potential, (Magath) has accomplished remarkable work here in two years.”
Veh, 48, was sacked by Stuttgart last November with his side struggling for form having led them to the 2007 Bundesliga title.
Having steered Wolfsburg to their maiden Bundesliga title, former Bayern Munich boss Magath moves on to try coach Schalke 04.
