The MLS side New York City FC continues to strengthen their roster ahead of the new season with Stuttgart midfielder Ebenezer Ofori becoming the latest international player to join the American club.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian midfielder joins New York City FC on a season-long loan with an option to buy at the end of the campaign, the MLS side has confirmed.
Ofori began his career at New Edubiase United in Ghana before moving to AIK in Sweden where he made 81 appearances prior to his switch to Germany. The Ghana international failed to make an impression with the Bundesliga side this season, however, and only managed nine minutes of action in the German top tier.
Ofori is hopeful a move to the MLS would help him kick-start his career and allow him to flourish in a holding midfield position where he feels most comfortable.
the Ghanaian international becomes the eighth new player added to the New York City FC squad this offseason.
