Competition: Premier League
Market: Newcastle to draw against Swansea
Odds: 23/10 @ Bet 365

Newcastle United host Swansea City in the Premier League this afternoon, with the Magpies desperate to end their losing run in the division. John Carver’s side have home advantage today, but their form has been woeful in recent weeks, and has threatened to drag them into a relegation dogfight at the tail-end of the season.

Swansea City, in contrast, are enjoying a comfortable top-half finish in the league, and could break their record points tally in the English top-flight if they avoid defeat to the Toon Army this afternoon. City boast a good recent record against Newcastle too, winning four and drawing one of their last five league meetings, so Garry Monk’s side will be confident of leaving St James’ Park with all three points.

Goals have dried up for the North-East outfit, and they have lost their last three home games in the league ahead of this afternoon’s fixture. Only Queens Park Rangers (8) have won fewer points than Newcastle since John Carver took over as manager, so the signs are currently all pointing towards a win for the Jacks.

Bet 365 are giving odds of 23/10 for Swansea to win away against Newcastle, to set a new Premier League points tally record.
