Reims midfielder Romain Amalfitano has agreed to join Newcastle at the end of the season, France Football understands.
The 22-year-old has been attracting a lot of interest with his performances in Ligue 2 and it was recently revealed that Newcastle were interested in his services.
The highly rated midfielder has just a couple of months left on his deal with Reims and he looks set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
France Football claims that Amalfitano has already agreed to join Newcastle when his contract expires in the summer, and is set to sign a three-year deal with Magpies.
The youngster, whose older brother Morgan plays for Marseille, should have no problema adapting to the new surroundings seeing that Newcastle squad are packed with former Ligue 1 players.
The talented footballer has been in fine form this season, helping Reims in their promotion push with 3 goals in 22 Ligue 2 games.
