Newcastle are interested in signing Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, according to Sky Sports, though they are unlikely to make any signings in January unless they complete some outgoing transfers first.
Semenyo has been an important part of the Bournemouth team under Andoni Iraola. The 24-year-old winger has four goals and one assist in 12 Premier League appearances this season so far, and his quality has attracted the attention of other potential suitors, Liverpool being mentioned the most in that aspect.
Newcastle are said to be looking for ways to boost the right-wing options for manager Eddie Howe, while Liverpool contemplate the possibility of a future without Mohamed Salah, who recently revealed he had not received an official offer to sign a new deal to keep him at Anfield, seeking for players who could come in and be a part of their plans under Arne Slot.
Semenyo’s contract does not expire before the summer of 2029, and the Cherries will presumably demand a large fee for his services.
