Newcastle United have made a bid for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that the Eddie Howe’s side have told Premier League rivals Leeds that they are willing to pay £18 million in transfer fees for Harrison, who can also play as an attacking midfielder.
Football Insider have added that Leeds have not yet made a decision on the bid from Newcastle for Harrison. The West Yorkshire club have already sold another winger Raphinha to Barcelona, while England international midfielder Kalvin Phillips has left for Manchester City.
Harrison has scored 16 goals and created 13 big chances in 71 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The 25-year-old made 32 starts and three substitute appearances in the league for Leeds last season, scoring eight goals and giving one assist in the process.
