The signing of Bruno Guimaraes last January aside, Newcastle haven’t even begun spending serious money on transfers following the arrival of the Saudi-backed Public Investment Fund as their new owners, and they’re already fighting to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Manager Eddie Howe has every reason to be happy with his team, as do the new owners with his work.
