English newspaper The Sun reports that Newcastle have agreed to sign Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The highly rated midfielder is followed by a number of high-profile sides and he is set to leave TFC after rejecting a new contract offer from the club.
Sissoko has entered the final year of his deal at Stade Municipal and the club chiefs have come to terms with the player leaving le Tefece.
The Sun understands that the 23-year-old has already agreed a deal with Newcastle United, but it remains to be seen whether he will join the club in January or when his current contract expires in June.
Despite being followed by Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton and Fulham, Sissoko has opted for the Magpies, with Newcastle’s French contingent likely playing a major part in his decision.
It was at Toulouse that the midfielder began his professional career in 2007, and he has since scored 20 goals in 181 Ligue 1 games for the club.
