Newcastle United have been linked with a move to re-sign France international Loic Remy, according to the Mail Online.
The North East club are looking for alternatives to number one target Saido Berahino of West Bromwich Albion, and could be set to turn to the man they had on loan two seasons ago.
During his season-long spell with Newcastle, the twenty-nine year old scored fourteen goals in twenty-six appearances – form that saw him poached by Chelsea.
He has had a less than ideal time since moving to Stamford Bridge, racking up just seven Premier League starts while he has scored just twelve goals for the club in all competitions.
Internationally, he has been capped thirty-one times for France, scoring seven goals and was part of their squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Newcastle currently sit in eighteenth place in the Premier League, two points from safety and can be backed at 6/5 to be relegated.
