Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka Chuka is being linked with a summer move to Newcastle, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 25-year-old has permission to leave the club in the summer transfer window and the latest reports suggest that the Magpies could come forward with an official bid for his services.
Newcastle are desperate to recruit a high-quality centre forward and have so far been linked with the likes of Charlie Austin and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
In case Okaka leaves the club, Sampdoria will probably sign former player Antonio Cassano, who has been a free agent since leaving Parma six months ago.
The former Italy star is eager to return to Marassi, but new coach Walter Zenga first wants to see the forward prove his fitness having spent so long on the sidelines.
The interesting thing is that Okaka and Cassano share the same agent, which should help Sampdoria realise their plans.
