Newcastle fail in Hart loan approach

Manchester City have turned down a loan approach from Newcastle United for goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to the Mail Online.

The England international appears to have played his final game for the Citizens after Brazilian shot-stopper Ederson arrived at the Etihad Stadium though the Premier League title favourites are keen on securing a permanent transfer.

Hart spent last season in Serie A with Torino, racking up thirty-seven appearances in all competitions and despite impressing has ruled out a return to Italy.

Since signing from Shrewsbury Town in the summer of 2006, the thirty year old has played three hundred and forty-eight times for City and with them has won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Internationally, he has been capped seventy-one times for his country and was part of the squads that attended the last two European Championships and the last two World Cup finals.
