Atlanta United star Miguel Almiron has been one of the top performers in the MLS this season and his flying form has already attracted plenty of interest from across the pond.
With 12 goals and 13 assists in 32 appearances with Atlanta United, the Paraguayan attacking midfielder already has the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham hot on his trail but the most recent reports coming from the British media have it that Newcastle United have also joined the chase.
The Magpies have endured a torrid start to their 2018/19 campaign in the Premier League and are desperately looking for reinforcements in January.
Rafa Benitez has yet to record his first win in English top flight this campaign and will urge the club owner to sanction a move for the player who could kick-start the Magpies’ season this winter.
Almiron is said to be on a £22.1 million release clause which could come as a huge obstacle for struggling Magpies while the player himself is likely to opt for a more competitive environment.
