Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Blackpool’s Tom Ince, according to the Mirror.
The club, who have director of football Joe Kinnear in charge of their transfer policy, have so far only managed to secure the loan signing of Loic Remy this summer, though they are now ready to spend the funds they are set to receive from Arsenal-bound Yohan Cabaye.
Ince rejected a move to Cardiff City earlier in the transfer window, while Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in securing the players services, though Newcastle are more willing to meet the Seasiders £8m valuation.
He is also likely to be given more playing time should he move to the North East club – something which is important to his father and manager Paul.
The 21 year old has played in just one of his sides three Championship matches this season; a game in which he scored his twenty-seventh goal for the club since signing from Liverpool two years ago.
