Newcastle United have joined the race to sign out-of-favour Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to the Express.
The England international has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer having spent last season on loan with Bournemouth.
The Cherries have been linked with taking him back while Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Serie A side Sampdoria are also interested in securing his services.
Newcastle are keen to continue strengthening their squad, not least due to them beginning their campaign with a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
Wilshere played twenty-seven times for Bournemouth last season, while he has racked up one hundred and fifty-nine appearances in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side, scoring twelve goals.
Internationally he has been capped thirty-four times for his country, with both of his two goals for his country so far coming in a come-from-behind win over Slovenia in qualifying for Euro 2016.
