Newcastle are readying summer bid for Red Bull Salzburg forward Sadio Mane, reports Sunday People.
The Magpies could stay without Loic Remy, Papiss Cisse, Shola Ameobi and Luuk de Jong in the summer and they are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements.
According to Sunday People, Newcastle scout Graham Carr was impressed by Red Bull Salzburg attacker Sadio Mane in the 3-1 victory over Ajax and has instructed club officials to try and lure him to St James’ Park.
The 21-year-old has been in stunning form since joining the Austrian champions from Metz, having bagged 27 goals in 48 league appearances.
And having also scored 5 goals in 9 Europa League matches this term, it is hardly surprising he has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs.
The highly rated attacker, who also took part at the 2012 Summer Olympics with Senegal, is valued at £10 million at the moment.
