Newcastle are weighing up a move for Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho, Le Parisien reports.
The Magpies are planning to sign a new left-back after Jose Enrique made a switch to Liverpool.
The St James Park outfit have set their sights on Lyon wantaway defender Aly Cissokho and are reportedly ready to offer €8 million.
The France international is looking to leave les Gones this summer and he was even linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this month, but the Reds eventually opted for Newcastle’s Jose Enrique.
Newcastle have enjoyed a very successful start to the season, having picked up four points from difficult games against Arsenal and fierce rivals Sunderland.
